George and Stella built a new homestead half mile from George’s original home. They moved to the town of Carman in the fall of 1994. George continued farming with his son and grandson until he was 85 years old.George was active in his home church serving as youth leader, member of the building committee, Sunday school superintendent, member of the choir, etc.  Among other things George enjoyed curling and going for coffee with his buddies at McGees every morning.  He also enjoyed volunteering at the MCC store. George and Stella enjoyed many years of camping with family and friends up to this past summer.

George was predeceased by his parents and sister Katherine.
