Albert Huntley Knox

With profound sadness we announce the sudden death of Huntley Knox, June 19, 2019 of Miami Mb. Huntley will be lovingly remembered by wife Nancy, 2 Sons, Allan (Heather), Dale (Roxann Gardiner) and Daughter Heather (Troy Turner). Grandchildren – Brayden and Brooklyn, Kaitlyn, Rebecca and Alexa, Morgan and Mason. Survived by his brothers- Jim (Merle Bryce), Ted (Fran), Andrew (Joann) and Gary. His Sisters Janette (Martin Moody), Barbara (Jim Rankin) and many nieces and nephews, friends and neighbours.

Huntleys’ service of Remembrance will be held in the Miami Community Hall Thursday June 27 2019 at 2pm, with lunch and fellowship to follow. Private interment prior to service. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations can be made to the Heart and Stoke foundation of Manitoba and the Miami and Area foundation.

Huntley was born and raised on the farm southwest of Miami. His passions were his family, his farm and his community. He was actively involved as a councillor for the RM of Thompson. Huntley was a true volunteer, president of the Miami Hall Board, Chairman of the Miami and Area Foundation and very honoured to be a founding member. He was extremely honoured to see his family embrace volunteering as he did and his parents before him.

Huntley joined the family farm in his younger years raising Hereford cattle and grains. First with his Dad, George Knox, then with Nancy, brother Jim and their children. He formed a small trucking company hauling livestock, grain, gravel and PMU. Huntley was always proud of his family and their endeavours, attending many cattle shows, hockey games, skating competitions, watching curling, ball games and many rodeos. And the biggest fan of his grandchildren in skating, hockey, curling, 4h, soccer, ball and swimming.
