Margaret Johnston (nee Pollock)

We are saddened to announce the passing of Margaret Rose Johnston On Saturday May 11th, 2019 at Boyne Lodge in Carman, Manitoba, aged 83 years.

Marg is survived by her two daughters, Linda (Ernie) Schlichting and Margo Moritz (Irwin Heshka). Four grandchildren Tyler (Brandi) Forrest, Karissa Forrest (Russ Penner)., Alex (D'Arcy) Forrest and Nicole Moritz (Robert Michon). Six great grandchildren, Jacob, Lola, Charlie, Brynlee, Harper and Mila; and sister June Blair (Bud).

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Bill,  her mother and father and one grandchild, Rachel Moritz.

During Marg's life she was proud to be a teacher for many years. She was also an avid curler and golfer, and enjoyed many hours painting and doing crafts.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday May 16th at 2:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Chapel, Carman with Rev Karen Tjaden officiating. Viewing before the service. 

Memorial donation may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association, 629 McDermot Ave, Wpg, MB, R3A 1P6 or the Alzheimer Society, 10-120 Donald St., Wpg, MB, R3C 4G2.

Our sympathies to Linda and Margo and families
Marg was a friend and neighbor to us for many years. She taught Fred the art of folk art painting. What a wonderful teacher she was! Rest In Peace dear friend.

Sorry to hear of your loss Margo, Linda and families. We both remember many days in the classroom with either your mom or my mom as our teachers. Cherish the memories.

We are so sorry to hear of Marg's passing, Linda and Margo. Many fond memories, one of which was when she subbed for me when Robin was born, but it couldn't be for too long as she had to get to the Brandon Ladies' Bonspiel, in which they did very well. Our thoughts are with you.
