Lil was predeceased by Husband Jack of 64 years, her son in law Dave LaBelle and her Great Grandson, Ty Seitz.

Mom grew up and received her formal education in Elm Creek, met a wonderful returning World War II veteran and were married on Aug. 3, 1946.

During their 64 years together they established two business' in Carman (Carman Barbershop and Beauty Salon and the Carman Flower Shop) while raising five wonderful children.

Lillian was a very creative woman as evidenced by flower arrangements, gardening prowess, her sewing and cooking. Mom loved her family and her pets. Her strength and compassion was evident through her life work and her struggles until the end. Together Mom and Dad's personal time was spent enjoying bowling and golfing.

Lil leaves to mourn her two sons, Jack (Linda) McKay, Barry (Janice) McKay; three daughters, Carol LaBelle, Cyndie (Ernie ) Sutherland and Sherri (Felix ) Unger. She is also survived by 12 Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren

The family would like to thank those who genuinely helped care for Mom, especially Dr. Atkinson along with the Palliative Care Staff at the Carman Memorial Hospital, for helping Mom finally come to rest in peace.

Mom loved her life and her family and hung on for them until the very end.

A private family service will be held at the Greenwood Cemetery on Tuesday March 12, 2019

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care at the Carman Memorial Hospital, Box 610, Carman, Manitoba R0G 0J0.

Fond Remembrance of your Mom in the flower shop. She was a classy lady and I always enjoyed a visit with her. I have a picture of the beautiful flower arrangement she sent when our first child was born. She lived a long life and loved you all. Please accept our sincere sympathy.
