We lovingly celebrate the life of Katherine Wiebe who passed away peacefully on February 11, 2019 at the FOYER NOTRE DAME, MB

She was predeceased by her parents, Cornelius and Katie Wiebe.

Left to cherish her memory are her siblings:

George (Stella) and their children Terry (Lois), Don (Lori), Deb (Cam), Wayne (Eleanore), and Wanda (Paul)

Henry (Eleanor) and their children Karin, Myrna (Mark), and Leonard (Lori)

And many great nephews and nieces.

Katherine was born on December 13, 1933 in Winnipeg, MB. She grew up on the family farm NE of Carman, MB and attended Forest School from grade 1-8. From there she went to MBCI in Winnipeg for grades 9 & 10 and to Winkler Bible School after that.  She became a Christian at an early age and was baptized upon the confession of her faith, and at that time became a member of the Elm Creek MB Church where she served with her musical interests. Later on when she moved to Winnipeg she joined Portage Avenue MB Church where she served as an usher, pianist, and deacon.

She went to work at Great West Life in Winnipeg for some time and then went to work at the Law Courts in Winnipeg and worked her way up to administrative assistant to the Office of the Sheriff of Manitoba until her retirement.

Being one that never sat around she took on a position as a tour guide for Fehrway Tours, where she travelled to numerous places across North America.

She developed many close friends in Winnipeg and also joined a bowling league. In later years when her mother moved to Donwood South and Donwood Manor, Katherine took on the role of caregiver and faithfully cared for and checked up on her daily.

When Katherine‚Äôs memory started to fail she moved to Boyne Towers in Carman to be closer to family for support.  She stayed there several years till she moved to the personal care home in Notre Dame where she spent the last 3 years of her life here on this earth.
