Jason bikeJason Scott DeWitt

March 18, 1987 – May 5, 2018

On the evening of May 5, 2018 at God’s appointed time, while doing one of his favorite pastimes, the Lord called him home. Jason was a giving person who would help anyone at anytime. He knew his Lord and Savior and by this we can be comforted.

Mourning his loss are his wife Marcie, his three children Austin, Bree and Callie. His grandparents, Harry and Mary Dewitt (Brampton, ON), his parents Don and Louise DeWitt, his siblings Rose and Christopher Halstead and their children Tessa and Taylor, Christopher, Rae-Lyn, and Joey; Harley and Kayleigh DeWitt, and Dale and Teri DeWitt. Also his in-laws Dennis and Marlene Douma, Dale and Whitney Douma and their children Elliot and Logan; Kirk and Laurie Douma and their daughter Rashelle; Lana Douma and Adrian VanLuik. Also grandparents Patsy Douma and Cor and Joan DeWitt (Winnipeg), also a very large extended family of cousins, uncles and aunts. His loss will be felt by many more people that we as family do not know. May God be with you also.

The family would like to thank the EMS attendants who tried to keep Jason here with us and all others on the scene. We appreciate the work you do for us and our community. It is a very difficult job you’ve chosen to do. We also pray for the other party involved. May they turn to God for comfort and forgiveness.
