September 4, 1928- December 14, 2017

On Thursday, December 14, 2017, the Lord saw fit to call home our father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Ben Lemky.

Dad was born on September 4, 1928, in the Morden area, to John and Mary Lemky. He was the 1st of 10 children and lived in the Arden area until his marriage to Sarah Buhler.

Dad and Mom were married on September 9, 1951 and lived in the Arden area. They farmed just north of Arden for a number of years and were blessed with 5 children while in Arden. In 1974 Dad and Mom moved to Homewood, MB, where they farmed and raised their children until retirement to Carman in 1990.

Dad spent his life farming, working on some hobbies, and some volunteer time at MCC. Dad liked hunting and playing music Saturday nights with his brothers at Arden.

Dad is survived by his daughter Anne (Julian) Ens, and sons, Peter (Bonnie), John (Elizabeth), Danny (Karen), and Anthony (Glynis). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Dad loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and committed his life to living for and serving the Lord. We are comforted in knowing that he is now at home with the Lord.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Carman Mennonite Church. Interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery.

Donations may be made to Boyne Valley Hostel Corp. (Boyne Lodge Capital Building Fund).

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
