Dunn Buck orig photo"Buck" (Harold) Wayne Dunn passed away at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg on November 15, 2016.

Buck was born October 7, 1940 in Carman, Manitoba. He was the third eldest of eight children born to Wes and Sadie Dunn of Carman.

Buck was raised in the farming district of Barnsley just outside of Carman. He first attended the Forrest School for his elementary school years before heading off to Western Christian College in Weyburn, Saskatchewan. Buck's interest always laid outside the school room windows and eventually followed his passions to join the work force where he made and kept many life long friends like Allan Hugo and Ben Friesen. He was a hard working man with diverse work experiences with the oil rigs and farming dominating his careers. In later years, he acquired land of his own with then wife Judy where they raised their four children Diana, Stephen, Kelly and Adam. He continued farming until 2013 when ill health interrupted his plans of doing it just "one more year". Buck even continued to dabble in the oil fields or pipeline into his 70's.

Buck enjoyed his nine grandchildren, one great grandchild, fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with family and friends on his Stephenfield Lake land and having a good laugh at neighbours or the local gathering places.

Buck was predeceased by his Mom Sadie (2016), his Dad Wesley (1996), brother Barry (Rosalie)(1995), and granddaughter Addison (2012). Surviving him are his siblings; Francis (David), Willene (Archie) , Allan (Ann), Dennis, Debbie and Dawn.

Buck's stories and wit will be missed. He is survived by his children, Diana (Mike) of Winnipeg, Stephen of St. Claude, Manitoba, Kelly (Scott) of Watson Lake, Yukon, and Adam (Launa) of Birch Hills, Saskatchewan. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Michael, Darryl (Leah), Jamie , Piper, Jaida, Jaxon, Lachlan, Rowan, Avery, and great granddaughter Isabel.

Funeral service will be held on Monday November 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Doyle's Funeral Home in Carman followed by a celebration of life at the Carman Legion Auxiliary Hall. Buck will be cremated and his final resting place will be divided between his children ranging from Manitoba, the Yukon and some of his favorite hunting grounds in Saskatchewan with son Adam.

In lieu of flowers, the family would be honored for donations to be made in Buck's memory to The Manitoba Firefighters Burn Fund at or by mail to Manitoba Firefighters Burn Fund at 303-Garry Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3C 4J9 and/or to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation at or by mail to 675.
