Elsie Davidson
Elsie Mae Davidson (nee Moyle) passed away peacefully on October 29, 2016.
She is survived by her husband Bill, daughters Rhonda (George) and Gail (Dale), and grandchildren Jenna and Tanner. She is also survived by two sisters, Margaret Reid and Leona Kalinchuk, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters Sylvia, Kathleen and Helen, and brothers Will and Don.
Elsie was born on a farm near Graysville, Manitoba , the fourth of eight children of John and Hannah Moyle. She attended school in Graysville, and later trained as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked in various communities, including Carman, Morris, Winnipeg, Gladstone, and Oliver BC. She married Bill Davidson in 1960, and lived in numerous Manitoba communities, following Bill’s postings with the RCMR In retirement, Elsie and Bill lived in Brandon, Paradise Village near Ste Anne, and Winnipeg. Elsie’s life was about home, family and friends. She was happy to endure the cold winter weather rather than travelling to warmer climates. She never learned how to complain. If she was having a bad day, no one knew. She loved gatherings of family and friends, and made sure everyone, including pets, went home satisfied. She was dearly loved by those close to her, and her loss will create a hole in many hearts.
Cremation has taken place, with a private service and interment at a later date. The family would like to send our sincere thanks to the staff of the Vista Park Lodge for their excellent care, and the compassion shown to Elsie during her residency there. In memory of Elsie, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
