It is with sadness the family announces the passing of John on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at his residence in the RM of Grey.

John is predeceased by his first wife Marilyn Lavern.

He leaves to mourn his loss wife Alice, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, 4 sons, 2 daughters, 35 grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

John was born in Haskett, MB on December 24, 1940. He began his family living in Winnipeg, moving to Elm Creek in 1967. His farm was not only his home but where he was most connected and his happiest.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Elm Creek Community Hall. Family interment will be held in the Elm Creek Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made to the Carman Area Foundation, RM of Grey Fund, Box 160, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0.

I'm sorry too hear about John's death I just found out today he really was a great dad and provider and thanks to John and Laverne they were the ones that taught me working values that I use today.
