June 22, 1937 - May 4, 2015

Peacefully, at the age of 77 years old, Marie Armande Lucille "Lucy" Crabbe passed away with the love of God, family, and friends in her heart.

Lucy was predeceased by her father Doria Leclair and mother Juliette Leclair, her husbands Wallace Dodson and Sidney Crabbe. Lucy was the second eldest child and was predeceased by her siblings, Henri, Paul, George, Judy, Frank, Rose, Jane, and Doris. She is survived by her siblings Bill (Christine) Leclair of British Columbia, and sisters Aggie Warkentin and Mary Lou Robert both of Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Lucy had four children; Danny (Susan) Dodson of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Ronald (Lynn) Dodson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Randy (Cindy) Dodson of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Cindy Vandersluis of Carman, Manitoba.

Lucy had 8 grandchildren; Donna (Brendan) Dyck, Lindsay (James) McCombe, Jennifer Dodson (Amber LaRocque), Dorian Dodson (Jenelle Crittin), Olivia Dodson, Troy Dodson, Sean Dodson and Amy Dodson.

Lucy had one great-grandchild, Chelsea Dyck.

Lucy had numerous nieces, nephews and extended family whom she cared for deeply and had a special bond with her "buddy" Shady.

Lucy loved knitting, gardening, baking and spending time outside enjoying nature. She enjoyed card games, holidays (especially Christmas) and animated movies. She was a child at heart. She donated numerous knitting projects to charity, family, friends and hospitals including hats, mittens, blankets, and finger puppets.

Family was first and foremost, she was the glue of our family. She always enjoyed hearing about everyone's activities and sharing in other's joys. Her sense of humor and amazing personality will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Our family would like to thank the nurses, doctors and staff of the Carman Memorial hospital for their excellent care. Sincere thanks to Pastor Bob Pauls for his spiritual guidance and services.

Donations can be made in her honour to CancerCare Manitoba or Carman Palliative Care.
