Milne Eileen orig photoEileen Milne

It’s with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Eileen Milne. Eileen left us peacefully on Tuesday, October 11th surrounded by family and love. Eileen joins her husband Brian who passed in the fall of 2006. She leaves to hold her memory her sons Cameron, wife Tammy and grandsons Brian and Blair, wife Jackie and their children Brian and Brooklyn, and James, wife Audrey and their son Ben, loving sister Elizabeth Skelton, daughter Karen and husband Lynn, their children Ben and Jon and Emily and her son Blain and his wife Nicki, and friends too numerous to mention individually.

Eileen was born Gladys Eileen Milne, February 1st, 1938. She was born to Betty and Ben Reynolds in Clarkleigh in the Interlake. Shortly after Eileen’s family moved to Winnipeg and then on to Carman where she lived her entire life. Eileen’s first job was as an usherette at the Boyne Theatre. She later worked at the Canadian Bank of Commerce. Eileen married Brian Milne on Dec 20 1958 and for many years they owned and operated Carman Plumbing and Heating. Eileen was actively involved in Kinettes where she was a life member. She loved to golf and was one of the original Tuesday night golf league members. Eileen sold her house after her husband’s passing and moved into Riverview Legion Lodge when she greatly enjoyed the company there. From Riverview, Eileen moved to the Foyer in Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.

Funeral Services will be held at Carman’s United Church, October 19th at 1:00PM.
