Henry Peter Abrahams

March 23, 1931 – June 23, 2013

Henry passed away at the age of 82 years. He was born on March 23, 1931 in the R.M. of De Salaberry to Anna and Peter Abrahams.

He started school in Dufrost, Manitoba and when his family moved to the Wingham District he continued his schooling at the Wingham School. He made his living hauling gravel and worked many summers for the provincial Road Department hauling chips for the seal coat crew.

Henry will be lovingly remembered by his soul-mate and companion, Flo, son Brad and his wife Mary-Lou Harding; Grandchildren Travis (Laura) Harding, Brittani (Ross) Simnor, and Natalie (Michael) Haynes; daughter Kim Debreczeni; grandson Jared; Flo’s siblings and their families as well as Henry’s two sisters Elizabeth Abrahams and Lena (Jack) Dyck.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 29, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at the Elm Creek MB Church with Pastor Jason Dyck officiating. Interment will take place in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Should friends so desire in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St. Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or to a charity of one’s choice.
