It is with great sadness the family of Henry Derkson announce the peaceful
passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather on (his
favourite day of the year - first day of fishing) May 11, 2013 at the Carman
Memorial Hospital, Carman, MB with his family by his side.

Predeceased by son Jackie (infancy); wife Elsa (2003); parents; brothers
Harold, Pete and John; sisters Elma, Lenore, and Laura.

Cherishing his memory are his son Earl (Gwen), grandchildren Tracy (Landon)
great-grandchild Azmera, Judy (Richard); son Murray (Mary-Ann) grandchildren
Jackie (Mike) great-grandchildren Isabella and William, Lyle (Amber)
great-grandchildren Brandon, Keegan and Keira; daughter Brenda Bourgeois
(David) grandchildren Jason, Cindy, great-grandchildren Alexis, Halley and
Chelsea; son Dennis (Sharon) grandchildren Jennifer (Richard) great-grandchild
Kyle, Rachel (Brent); sisters Levina Reimer, Dorren, Dora, Irene, Deanna and
nephews and nieces.

Henry was born March 23, 1919 in Winkler, MB. to Peter and Roberta (Karras). He
married Elsa Geswein from Sperling, January 14, 1940 They celebrated their 50th
anniversary in 1990. Henry worked in the logging camps in Ontario during
winters, at the Sugar Factory in Winnipeg, drove school bus and farmed in the
Roseisle district. His passion was fishing and throwing horseshoe.

A family grave side service was held May 18, 2013 with Karen Tjaden officiating
with interment at the Sperling Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations
may be made to the Alzheimer Society, 10 - 120 Donald St, Winnipeg, MB.
