Wendal "Jack" John Bruce passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at the age of 76 years.

Jack was born in Carman, Manitoba on April 4, 1936 and lived all his life on the family century farm just outside of Miami. In 1966, Jack married Audrey Follett and they had two sons, Charles Warren and John Randall. For over 10 years he drove a gravel truck in the local area before taking over the family farm in the early 1960's. Jack devoted his entire life to farming and family and was so proud his two sons followed in his footsteps. After retiring due to poor health, he spent many leisurely hours in the comfort of his home enjoying curling and baseball. Jack's pride and joy were his three granddaughters. He took special pleasure in their little visits and often sat at the window watching them play in the yard.

Jack will be lovingly remembered by his son Randy and daughter-in-law Sheryl, his three precious granddaughters Alyssa, Brianna and Addison, 2 brother-in-laws, 3 sister-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son Charles Warren in 1988, his wife Frances Audrey in 1993, his parents Roy and Ila and his brothers Ted and Barry.

A memorial service was held on Friday, February 22, 2013 at 2:00 pm. at the Miami United Church with Rev. Allison Halstead officiating. If friends so desire, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Suite 200 – 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6 or to a charity of one's choice.
