Enns Anne - orig photoAnne (Schellenberg) Enns formerly of Wingham Manitoba passed away into the loving arms of her Lord on March 16, 2013 at the age of 90.

Anne passed away peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital with her family by her side.

She was predeceased by her husband Peter P Enns in 1979, her sisters Helen Klassen and Ella Petkau, and infant brother Arthur. She is survived by her children Ruth Enns-Ray (Bob Ray-deceased), Dave (Linda), Kathleen (Jim Sanderson), Ernie (Sherryl), Rob, Jim (Diane), Eileen (Tom Czerkawski), 17 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Martha Penner, Marlene Thiessen, and brother Alfred Schellenberg.

Anne was born to David Johann Schellenberg and Anna (Wiebe) in 1922. In 1923 Anne's father David fled from Gnadenthal Russia bringing along his wife, their infant Anne and all of his wife's orphaned siblings. They settled in Gnadenthal Manitoba.

Sept 16, 1944 she married Peter Enns. Together they spent the best years of their lives raising their 7 children on a small farm in Wingham. As they struggled to make a living on their 160 acres of sand, their children soon learned the values of hard work, community and above all to have a strong faith in the Lord. There was always time for music, and that love of music has continued on through their children.

After Peter died she sold the family farm and moved to Portage la Prairie where she continued to foster children (more than 80 children over the years). She then moved to Winkler for a short period before settling in Carman.

Everyone who knew Anne knows how much she loved her family. She was always so proud of them, and their accomplishments. Above all she had a passion for the Lord. In Anne's own words "I've had many many blessings and I praise the Lord for it all."
