With sadness the family of Annie Cutting announce her passing at Carman Memorial Hospital after a short illness.

How well my mum did to stay in her home with its beautiful back garden until this past July. Ill health determined that she would not be going home during a 4 month hospital stay. She reconciled herself to this fact, soon looked forward to the Boyne Lodge move which took place Nov. 27th. She was happy at the Lodge, enjoyed her roommate Verna and others she had

known all her life on the second floor. She thought the staff at the hospital and Lodge so kind and always so interested in their stories.

For 95 wonderful years we have had the incredible gift of Mum, Grandma, Nanna, "Hanna" in our lives. Her youngest grandaughter Madison Johnston when very young started calling mum "Hanna" and mum loved this term of endearment.

She could warm you with her smile and laughter. You would have been intriqued by her stories living over 80 years in Carman. Her wit, energy, zest for life and her generosity were so well known by the family. A very bright mind and wonderful memory she was the historian for our family. Daughter Gwenda was so happy to get some stories about her and dear husband Earl down in writing.

Annie was born in Morse, Sk in 1917 daughter to Peter and Anna Elias. After several moves Annie spent most of her growing up years in Carman, MB, marrying Earl Cutting in 1937.

Annie is survived by daughter Gwenda Johnston of Rathwell with her family, son Paul (Kathie), his sons Damian and Lucas. Son Scott (Shelley) and their children Madison and Gavin. Daughter Lisa (Mark) Robertson and their children Brody (Kristie), Jordan and Kantara.

Marlyn and Ken Waddell's children grandaughter Jacquie (Gordon) Russell with their children Brent (Katherine) and son Kenneth, daughter Kaitlin, grandaughter JoAnn Waddell (Sarah Jayne).

Annie is also survived by sister Mary Elias Frank of Juneau Alaska and her children. Mary is the last surviving child of Peter and Annie Elias.

Annie is survived by Bert Cutting, Murray and Margaret Cutting of Carman, Harvey and Gloria Cutting of Vernon, BC and sister in law Shirley and Walter Conner of Prudenville, Michigan.

Mum was predeceased by husband Earl in 1994 and daughter Marlyn and son in law Kenneth Waddell both 2004 and son in law Murray Johnston 1984.

Mum was predeceased in earlier years by brothers Dr. John Elias (Viola), Peter Elias (Edith) and sister Evelyn McNabb.

On the Cutting side she was predeceased by sister in law Elsie (Bert) and Margaret Foreman Cutting (Harvey).

Mum and Dad enjoyed a very full life of fun with square dancing and calling in the 50's, time spent camping with their group of fishing buddies. When mum was alone she enjoyed the entertainment put on by Golden Prairie Arts Council and had great friends who included her with their family events.

The family has truly lost one of its great souls in Nanna. She was a constant figure of love and laughter at the very top of our family tree and will be dearly missed. There was nothing more important to mum than family and very few things made her happier than when everyone was together. She enjoyed the nieces and nephews that visited this past summer, also the Carther and Conner relatives that visited her while in hospital. She was a role model of strength, kindness, generosity and family values. She will forever be in our hearts.

Funeral was conducted at United Church in Carman with Rev. Harold Kenyon and Pastor Dale Elford of the Church of Christ on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 2 pm. Burial took place in the family plot at Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.
