Lillian was born at Roland, MB to Jack and Alice Burnett on August 20, 1923. After Lil and Lloyd were married they lived on the family farm at Myrtle. Mom was always very active in church and community activities; CGIT leader, Brownie leader, WI, WA, UCW, curling, drama, and convened many fall suppers, and bridal showers. Mom enjoyed many lasting friendships with people she worked with over the years as a waitress at the Bay's Georgian Room, an Assistant at the Extension Library, Univ. of MB and as a Library Assistant at Brandon University. Most of all Mom enjoyed helping people in a variety of ways and if you could have a bunch of fun along the way it was even better. Mom's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren were her most treasured possessions – each having a special place in her heart.

Funeral service was held at The United Church in Meadowood, 1111 Dakota Street, Winnipeg on Saturday, October 1st at 11 am. Private interment took place later in the day.
