She also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren.
Edith was predeceased by her husband, Emile; her parents Alex and Melvina Knowles; five brothers; three sisters; and son-in-law Ron Dyer.
During her sixty year marriage, Edith worked not only on the family’s chicken and potato farm, but also acted as book-keeper for Collomb Service, and served in various retail businesses in Carman. Edith was active in her community, and was a proud charter member of the McDermott Ladies Club as well as the Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
Edith’s wonderful memory for the people and families of Carman, and the events spanning nine decades, will be greatly missed. Thanks are extended to the staff of Boyne Lodge, who added to Edith’s enjoyment of life.
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 27 at 1:00 pm at Doyle’s Funeral Chapel, followed by a luncheon.
