Lillian was born on December 5, 1917 in the District of Boggy Creek at her parent’s homestead by the Shell River.  Lillian went to Grand Prairie School, a country schoolhouse.  Following her marriage to Joseph Zorisky, they made their home on a farm outside of Grandview.  A section of land was farmed; cattle, horses, pigs, turkeys and chickens were raised to sustain their livelihood.  Calling on her many resources, Lillian made butter and sold eggs to supplement the family income.  Briefly she moved into the town of Grandview with her four young children and soon moved to Roblin where she met and married Phillip.  In 1958 Lillian Phillip and family moved to Winnipeg and sometime in the 1980’s Lillian moved to Carman, MB where she lived until the time of her death.  She also spent winter months in Belcourt, ND, the birthplace of her mother, Adele.  Lillian loved to work with her hands in the garden and was very proud of her vegetable and floral garden that she lovingly tended in Carman.

Sincere appreciation is expressed to Dr. Youssef and the nursing staff of Carman Memorial Hospital for their gentle care and seeing to the needs of our mother during her stay.
