Ken McKinnon

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ken McKinnon on June 12, 2010 after a brief but valiant battle with cancer. He will be missed by Joan, his wife of 50 years, and by his children Dawn (Dwain), Glenda (Royce) and Todd (Beth); five grandchildren Jason (Krista), Travis (Kayla), Ian, Graham and Lisa; one great grandchild Jaxon, brother Royce (Doris) and many nieces and nephews.

Ken was born in Hamiota, MB on June 15, 1936. He was predeceased by his parents Gregor (Alex) and Clara, and by his siblings Howard and Loreen. Ken had a long career as an agricultural equipment salesman and had many happy customers using their Green Machines across the province.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Manitou Ambulance service, the emergency staff of the Boundary Trails Health Centre, and the RCMP for their assistance. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses in the CancerCare unit for their incredible compassion. Thanks as well to the staff of the Manitou Co-op and all the friends who helped out. Flowers are gratefully declined; instead we would wish you to make a donation to BTHC CancerCare.

A graveside service will be held on June 17, 2010 at 3:00 pm at Riverside Cemetery, Graysville MB with lunch to follow.

Doyle’s Funeral Home, Carman in care of arrangements.
