John Glen William (Joe) MacDonald

Joe’s family announces his sudden passing at home, on Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the age of 69.  He was born to Jack and Erma MacDonald at Sarnia, Ontario.   Joe spent the majority of his life in the Winnipeg / Morden area.

He (Big Joe) was proud of his many years at Monarch Industries and most recently the many miles he drove as a long distance semi driver.  An avid toy collector, Joe and Gwen travelled the province attending various toy shows.  As a collector, Joe accumulated one of the largest Caterpillar collections.  Besides enjoying time with family and friends, Joe loved his summer camping, and telling stories and jokes wherever he went.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife Gwen, sons Brad, Brian (Kelly), his daughter Brenda, daughter Kristen, and son Emri (Mandy).  He is also survived by two granddaughters, Mellisa (Garrett) and Amanda (Jim) and three great grandchildren, Madisyn, Colton and Cali. Joe is also survived by one sister, Joanne and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was predeceased by his first wife Mary (1986) and his parents Jack and Erma.

It is time to celebrate the life of a proud and special man.  The family invite all to join them on Wednesday, April 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Miami Community Hall, Miami, MB.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the MS Society (South Central Branch), 101-400 Stephen St. Morden, MB, R6M 1W3.
