Melvin Bruce Johnston
On Thursday, April 1, 2010, with his family by his side, Bruce Johnston of Roland, Manitoba, passed away at the Boundary Trails Health Centre at the age of 61 years.
Bruce was born June 24, 1948 in Carman, MB. Nothing was more important to Bruce than his family. He was happiest when he was surrounded by the people he loved.
He was much loved and will be sadly missed by his wife of 36 years, Connie, daughters Carly and husband Chris Minaker, Andrea, Ainsley and fiancé Jason Murdock, all of Winnipeg, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents Harold and Elsie Johnston and brother Lyle.
Bruce was employed by Manitoba Hydro for 37 years and he also lived and worked on the family farm until his passing.
A special thank you to the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre, especially their Palliative Care program, the St. Boniface Hospital, and the Central RHA’s Home Care team in Carman.
A private interment will take place at the Fairview Cemetery in Roland, MB on April 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. A public memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Roland United Church with Rev. Chuck Ross and Rev. Brian Minaker officiating.
