With deep sadness, the family announces the passing of Bernice Fuller on Sunday May 30 2010 at the Carman Memorial Hospital.

Bea was predeceased by her mother Ellen in 1971,her father Cecil in 1972, and sister Beverley Ann in 1943.She leaves to mourn her husband Dave, son Darren(Sylvie) granddaughter Kelly, son David, and sister Lynda.

Bea was born in Portage la Prairie on March 17 1935.She was raised on the family farm near MacGregor.  It was during these early years on the farm where she developed her love of animals.

During her working years, Bea was employed at C.F.B. Portage, The City of Portage la Prairie, and many years as an instructor at Red River Community College.

One of Bea's passions was training her Standardbred racehorses.  Horses in her care were always certain to be well cared for.

Later she found companionship in the family's Boston Terrier's Megan and Mitzi.  Bea and Megan were seldom far from each other.

After retiring and moving to Carman, Bea worked part-time as the office manager-secretary for the Dufferin Agricultural Society. During retirement Bea and Dade spent much time vacationing in Osoyoos, B.C., Arizona, Mexico, and her favorite place, France visiting Darren and his family.

The family wishes to thank all those in the Carman area who have assisted Mom and our family during this most difficult time.  We are very grateful for the care and compassion Bea received at the Deer Lodge Centre, H.S.C., and especially from the fine people at Carman Memorial Hospital.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Society of Manitoba 493 Madison Street Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3J 1J2.
