August 23, 1916 - March 13, 2010

Peacefully on March 13, 2010 in the Carman Hospital after a short illness, our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great-grandmother was called to her eternal home.

Evelyn was pre-deceased by her beloved husband George in 1997 and two sons; Alvin in 2007, Adrian in 2008, and her grand-daughter Dana in 1970.

Leaving to mourn her passing are: daughters, Verna Lamond of Edmonton, AB, Lennie (Bob) Kirkup of London, ON; sons: Harley (Ellie) Anderson of Winnipeg, Vince (Stacey) Anderson of Winkler and daughters-in-law: Carole Anderson of Carman and Donna Anderson of Dauphin, Manitoba, 19 grandchildren, 32 great-grand-children and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Also leaving to mourn her passing are sister, Bertha Magel of Abbottsford, BC and brother, Clem (Harriet) McKay of Parksville, BC, sisters-in-law Rachel Anderson of Leifur, MB, Gladys Anderson of Portage la Prairie, MB, and Loha (Henry) Lawrence of Brandon, MB, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mother was a woman of grace, an excellent cook, and a joyful hostess who welcomed everyone into her home, often creating a meal out of what seemed like nothing.  Mother was a people person who was well loved and made friends wherever she went.  She will be sadly missed by everyone who knew her and most especially by her family who cherished her.

In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the South Central Cancer Resource, 160 Stephen St., Morden, MB. R6M 1T3 or to the Carman Hospital Palliative Care Box 610, Carman, MB. R0G 0J0.
