February 26, 1932 ~ July 9, 2009

On Thursday, July 9, 2009 the Lord saw fit to call home our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Sarah Lemky.

Mom was born on February 26, 1932 at Rosenfeld, Manitoba to Peter and Maria (Wiebe) Buhler.  She was the 5th of 7 children and remained in Rosenfeld until her marriage to Ben Lemky.

Mom and dad were married on September 9, 1951 and moved to Arden, MB.  They farmed just north or Arden for a number of years and were blessed with 5 children while in Arden.  In 1974 mom and dad moved to Homewood, MB where they farmed and raised their 5 children until their retirement to Carman in 1990.

Mom is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Ben Lemky, her daughter Anne (Julian) Ens, and sons, Peter (Bonnie), John (Elizabeth), Danny (Karen), and Anthony (Glynis).  She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, Diedrich and Peter, and one sister Mary Riemer.

Mom loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and committed her life to living for and serving the Lord.  We are comforted in knowing that she is now at home with the Lord.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 14m 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman Mennonite Church.  Interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery.

Mom spent many hours volunteering at the MCC, and if so desired memorial donations may be made to the Mennonite Central Committee.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
