Charles Gordon Murray
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our loving father Gordon on Sunday February 17th, 2008, at the age of 82. Gordon was born in Carman, Manitoba May 23, 1925 and served in the Canadian Air Force for 3 years stationed at MacDonald and Portage bases then farming in the Carman/Graysville areas until 1989. Gordon was an active community-minded man, serving the Carman Library, the United Way and many other organizations taking great pride in the growth and success of the local Credit Union. He came from a family of six, Norma (Gibson), Ivan, Francis (Savage) and Betty (Sager) and was predeceased by his parents Charles and Martha, daughter Bonnie, and sister Marlene (Monteith). He leaves behind his beloved wife Helen of 57 years, and his children Sandra (Ken), Robert (Barb), Bruce (Roseann), Karen (Roly), and Charles (Sherry). He will also be dearly remembered by his grandchildren Andrew (Jodi), Catherine (Eric), Wendy (Graeme), Brennan, Graham, Allison, Joshua (Melanie), Alexandrea, Samantha, Benjamin, Brandyn, CJ, and great-grandchildren Zachary, Alexander and Marcus.
The memorial service will be held on Thursday February 21st, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Carman United Church, 134 1st Street SW, Carman MB.
