Martha Jeninga (Huizenga)

Psalm 32:8 "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you."

Martha Jeninga, beloved wife, mother, oma and great-oma, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Carman Memorial Hospital.

Martha is survived by her husband in marriage of 56 years, Anske (Andy), her daughter Ann, son Harry and Sandy, grandsons Jonathan and Amanda, Daniel and Cindy, Christopher and Laura, Andrew, Stephen and Elsie, Gordon, Bryant, granddaughters Sonya, Anna-Marie, great grandchildren (Morgan, Drew and Cohen), (Alexis, Halley and Chelsea), and (Nicole).

The family would like to send a special thank you to all the staff at Boundary Trails Health Centre and the Dialysis Unit who took extreme patients and care of a very special lady. Also many thanks to all the staff at the Carman Memorial Hospital whom cared for Martha for many months.

To all friends and family who made the effort to come out and visit and help with the every other day driving to and from the hospital for dialysis treatment. All your kindness, devotion and gentle compassion was truly appreciated and will be lovingly remembered along with the great care you gave Martha. Thank-you so much for everything.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Canadian Reformed Church of Carman (East) with Rev. P.H. Holtvluwer officiating. Pallbearers were Harry Jeninga, Jonathan Versteeg, Daniel Versteeg, Christopher Versteeg, Andrew Versteeg, and Stephen Versteeg. Interment followed at the Greenwood Cemetery in Carman. Reception followed in the fellowship hall at the Canadian Reformed Church.

In lieu of flowers the family desires donations to be made to Boundary Trails Health Centre Dialysis Unit, or to a charity of your choice.
