It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Charles, our beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-grandfather on February 21, 2008 at Carman Hospital.

Charles was born near Roseisle on July 31, 1914. His family farmed aroundthe Roseisle and Miami area. Charles married Isabella Beatrice Mary Maybee on March 3, 1938 and farmed in the Miami area til they moved to Carman in 1974, where he was an active member in curling, square dancing, bowling. Charles was an avid outdoorsman, a notable marksman with both shotgun and rifle, he enjoyed hunting deer, duck and goose, and often joked about his proficiency in local "turkey shoots" and “Horseshoe Tournaments” as a young man. He moved to Parkview Manor in 2001 where he really enjoyed playing cards, and the congregate meals with his extended family.

He is predeceased by his parents Hannah (1974) and Charlie (1950) Hill; sister & brother-in-law: Alice  and Dick Moreton; wife Isabella BeatriceMary (1988); brother-in-law Bill Clark 2007.

He is survived by his children: son-Bob, Rob (Roberta) Taira and Tori, Rod Alexia and Teegan, Ron Katlynn and Brody, Robyn (Freddy) Samantha and Nicole; son-Ken (Mary)  Lori Cheyenne, Darren (Kristen) Locklan; son-Don (Deb) Brandi (Kelly), Wes (Dana) Charlie; daughter-Mary-Ann (Murray) Jackie (Mike) Isabella, Lyle (Amber) Brandon, Keegan and Keira; his sister Winnie Clark; and neices and nephews.

A celebration of Dad’s life, with family and friends will be held at the Carman United Church on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating.  A private family interment will take place at the Miami Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkview Manor Association, or Carman Active Living Center. 

Dad thank you for the years you gave to us, along with all the memories.  We will all miss you, but our memories shall live on.

Good Bye Dad, we love you,give Mom a hug and kiss from all of us.
