Percy Grant Harrison

Grant passed away peacefully, at the age of 74, on October 7, 2008 surrounded by his family at Boyne Lodge in Carman after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

Grant is survived by his wife Edith (nee Holm), his daughter Adele (Rene) Franczak and son Glen (Jo-Anne) Harrison and grandchildren Deanna and Jeremy Franczak and Matthew and Brett Harrison. He was predeceased by his parents Percy and Ida Harrison and Edith’s parents, Arnor and Della Holm.

Grant was born in Holland, 1934 and lived in Cardinal, Altamont and Holland as a child. Grant moved to Glenora in 1953, to farm and chose to raise his family there; retiring to Carman in 1998. He will be remembered for his quick wit and ready smile. He loved to tinker with his latest wood working project and was eager to head out dancing on a Friday or Saturday evening.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Grant’s life at a luncheon at the Glenora Hall, Glenora, MB, October 23, 2008 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Family would like to extend sincere thanks to the staff of Boyne Lodge for their caring and for making Grant’s time at the Lodge comfortable.
