Olive Mae Butler

(nee: Naugler)

June 30, 1916 ~ June 28, 2008

Sadly, with her loving husband Reg and her family by her side, we announce the passing of Olive Mae Butler on June 28, 2008 at Carman Memorial Hospital.

Left to cherish loving memories are her husband Reg of 65 years, her sons Jerry (Ann) Butler, Don (Betty Ann) Butler, daughers Linda (Dale) Butler, Valerie (Gilles) Saurette, and Mona (George) Miller.  She also will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Darren (Kristi), Carmen (Brad), Kevin, Tammy (Jamie), Trevor (Tiffany), Deanne (Maurice), Jennifer (Terry), Adam (Sarah), Marc, Erin (Ryan), Curtis (Tamara), as well as great grandchildren, Melissa, Cole, Rhianna, Sutton, Caitlin, Shaylin, Jada, Chad and Kaeley.  Ollie is also survived by her brother Everett Naugler. 

Ollie was born on June 30, 1916 in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia and moved to Manitoba at age 5 with her parents and four brothers.  Reg and Ollie were married in 1943 and raised their family in the Elm Creek area.  Ollie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She was a loyal friend and will be missed by many.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Elm Creek Community Hall, with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating.  A private family interment will take place at the Elm Creek Cemetery. 

Thanks to the doctors and staff at Carman Memorial Hospital for their kindness and care and a special thanks to the Home Care staff of the Boyne Towers for the friendship and support they have shown.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, or to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Winnipeg, MB, R3E 0V9.
