Margaret is also survived by her brother Doug (Shirley) Davidson of Winnipeg and sisters Phyllis Mitchell of Calgary and Eva Wintonyck of Victoria, brother in law Stan (Ruth) Bruce of Aimes, Iowa, sister in law Ellen Galbraith of Carman and Alice Andrews of Selkirk and brother in law Andy (Carrol) Bruce of Carman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a nurse at the Carman Hospital where she met Jim as a patient. They were married in 1952 and lived on the Bruce family farm at Stephenfield until Jim’s passing. Margaret nursed at all three hospitals in Carman as well as the Boyne Lodge. She was a very social person. She loved to visit with her family and friends and welcomed everyone who came to her door. We will always remember her sense of humor and quick wit.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Boyne Lodge for the wonderful care that Margaret received as a resident.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 28 at 2:00 p.m. at the Carman United Church. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to Boyne Lodge Handi Van Fund, Box 1644, Carman, MB R0G 0J0.
