Mildred Beth Wadge
May 14, 1920 ~ January 25, 2008
Peacefully on January 25, 2008 at the Boyne Lodge in Carman, Manitoba, Beth Wadge aged 87 years of Carman.
Beth was predeceased by her parents Edgar and Olive Wadge of Roland, brother Ray of Vancouver, brother George of Roland and niece Wendy of Toronto. She is survived by her sisters Doris and Lois of Toronto and sister-in-law Marg of Vancouver. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces Gay and Tiffany of Toronto, Cheryl of Vancouver, Kathy of Ottawa, Sheri of Bracebridge, and nephew Keith of Carman, great niece, Amanda of Winnipeg, great nephews Luke of Winnipeg, Greg of Kingston, and Matthew of Ottawa.
Beth grew up in Roland and made many good friends during her schoolyears there. Later she moved to Winnipeg where she worked for 25 years for the T. Eaton Co. She also went on to work for Revenue Canada for 10 years. During her life she was active in the church, golfed, curled, and traveled the world with her friends and family. She will always be remembered for her love of family, her wit and her dry sense of humor. After retirement, she was active in the Toastmistress Club and did volunteer work with children.
The family extends their gratitude to everyone at Boyne Lodge who made Beth’s life comfortable there and also to Carol Edwards Crawford of Winnipeg, for her many years of help and support as Beth’s caregiver.
A graveside service will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Roland on Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. There will be viewing at Doyle’s Funeral Chapel, Carman from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., prior to processing to the cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
