Winona Worthington

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Winona Worthington on January 19, 2007 at the Carman Memorial Hospital.

Winona leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Tanya Mitchell and husband Bob, her son Mark and wife Regina Kimmich, and her granddaughters Mikila and Alexa Mitchell. Also left to mourn her passing is her brother Allan (Jean) Armitage, her sister-in-law Gladys Worthington, brothers-in-law Roger Lambert, Percy Worthington, Stan (Vi) Worthington as well as her nieces and nephews.

Mom was pre-deceased by her husband Thomas, sister Alma and nephew David. 

Winona was born and grew up in the Boissevain area. As a young women she moved to Brandon where she was employed at the Assiniboine Hospital and later at the Brandon General Hospital as an Executive assistant until her retirement in 1990.

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the nursing staff at the Carman Hospital.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. from Brockie Donovan Funeral Chapel in Brandon, with interment in the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Carman Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, Box 610, Carman, Manitoba, R0G 0J0.
