Our mother passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 6, 2007 at the Beaver Dam Lodge in Calgary, Alberta. She celebrated her 90th birthday in August. Mildred was the last surviving child of George and Mary Clark.

Mildred will be lovingly remembered by her son Albert of Calgary, son Arlie and daughter-in-law Evelyn of Winnipeg, daughter Millie and son-in-law Griff of Dartmouth, daughter Ruth and son-in-law Jack of Calgary, daughter Linda and son-in-law Don of Okotoks. She will be missed by her 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lloyd in 1993. She was also predeceased by her siblings Clifford in 1978, Laura in 1943, Florence in 1974, Albert in 1944, Cecil in 1945. Gertie in 1991, Russell in 1915, Mabel in 2000, Arley in 1947, Emma in 2002 and Harvey in 2002.

Mildred was born August 19, 1917 at the family farm Sec. 34-6-4W, Carman, the 9th child of 12 children born to George Wilson Clark and Mary Suphronia Huston. When the farm was sold, the family moved to the town of Carman. Mildred lived in Carman until July 2006 when she moved to Calgary. She endured many hardships throughout her life but never complained. Her life revolved around her family. There was nothing she enjoyed more than having all the family for supper. She enjoyed baking goodies for her family especially butter tarts which disappeared very quickly. 

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 15, 2007 at Doyle's Funeral Home in Carman with Rev. Catherine Waldie officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Carman United Church, Box 1177, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0, or to the Carman HandiVan, Box 128, Carman, MB, R0G 0J0
