Margareta Bernert
December 25, 1919 – January 16, 2007
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of their precious mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at the Carman Memorial Hospital.
Leaving to mourn her passing are daughter Berlinda Pink (Ray) of Calgary, Alberta, grandsons Ron Pink (Jennifer) and Mike Pink (Sophia) of Calgary, Alberta, daughter-in-law Leta Wilson (Ken) of Carman, Manitoba, granddaughters Melissa Henderson (Matt), and Lindsay Bernert of Carman, great grandson Blake Bernert of Carman, and great granddaughter Ali Henderson of Carman. Margareta is also survived by sisters Leni Springer and Kathie Christ (Peter) of Germany as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Germany. She was predeceased by her husband Henry Sr. in 1991, and her son Henry Jr. in 1996.
Mom loved Canada and was very proud to be a Canadian citizen.
Funeral service will be held from Doyle’s Funeral Chapel in Carman, on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Harold Kenyon officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman.
Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in memory of Margareta may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Arthritis Foundation, the Carman Memorial Hospital Palliative Care, or to a charity of your choice.
