October 13, 1989 – June 21, 2006

Young, smart, artistic, kind, confident, funny, talented, awesome, caring, trusted, eager, cherished, loved, and missed are just some of the words that describe Robert. He had a smile that lit up a room and an attitude that matched. He was a boy, probably closer to being a man, that always had something to say even though you sometimes dreaded what would come out of that mouth because he had a quick wit and a teasing personality. Robert was full of life. His spirit overflowed with his love for the Lord, but he really showed his true self through his drawings. He had talent beyond his years. Many of his drawings show his relationship with the Lord and his understanding of the bible. His artistic ability was astounding and we always believed he would do something great with it. Robert wouldn’t have been Robert if he didn’t have a pen in his hand drawing on a piece of notebook paper when he was supposed to be paying attention in class, or drawing on a napkin when we went out to eat, and even drawing on a church bulletin once in a while during a church service. We all want to say why did this happen? Or what if he had just not driven that day? Or why wasn’t he more cautious? We have asked every question we can think of but it comes down to the fact that decisions were made and now we are left here without him. There were so many times in Robert’s life that he could have been taken away but now was the right time and we have to accept that and carry on. God wanted him now. Robert will always be with us if we keep him with us. What is love for if not to enjoy, what is life for if not to live, and what is death for if not to live again with Christ. Robert, you impacted each and everyone our lives in different ways. We love and miss you. Funeral service was held on Monday, June 26, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. from the Plum Coulee Bergthaler Church, with Pastor Ben Buhler officiating. Interment took place at the Plum Coulee Cemetery. You can’t see me

When I’m running with the Lord

Unless you join me

In God’s family

When I’m running with the Lord

You can see it on my face

You cannot take it from me

This is where I want to be

Singing your praise

When I’m in the house of God

Come and be saved

For He’s the only way

This is where I want to be

This is where I want to be

This is where I want to be

You cannot take this away from me
