CLIFFORD ANGUS ARCHIBALD 

It is with heavy hearts, the family announces the sudden passing of our dear husband, father and grandfather on November 8, 2006 at the Portage general Hospital with his family at his side. He was predeceased by his parents Angus and Jean Archibald of Sperling, Manitoba.

Cliff leaves to mourn his wife Bernice of 52 years and his five children sons, Randy and Brad of Elm Creek, daughters Cheryl (Barry) of Elm Creek, Brenda (Mike) of Winnipeg, and Sandra (Lance) of East Selkirk.

Cliff has suffered from ill health for lengthy decades but always kept fighting to live. He was a very strong and determined man and gave us many more years than we ever hoped for. He lived for his grandchildren Shaun and Daryl, his pride and joy, love of horses, he was a farmer at heart. He worked for the Manitoba Highways for 25 years until ill health forced his retirement. His love of his animals kept him active which he passed on to his grandsons, Shaun and Daryl teaching them, showing them, and being with them, they had many many special days.

Also left to mourn are three sisters Eleanor (Danny) of Powell river B.C., Norma (Cy) of Vancouver, Delle of Calgary and one brother Harold (Cathy) of Winnipeg and many nieces and nephews. Cliff is also survived by two Aunts Aunt Anna Tibbett of Neepawa, Aunt Gene of Melita.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2006 at the Elm Creek United Church at 2:0 p.m. with interment in the Elm Creek Cemetery. Lunch provided by the United Church Ladies in the Church basement.  Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St. Suite 200, Winnipeg, MB. R3L 0K6 or to the Society for Manitoban's with Disabilities, 85 Sherbrook St. Winnipeg, MB. R3A 9Z9.
